The Malaysia Internship Programme for Leaders by TAPiO held its 8th Wednesday Club. We had the Distinct Honour and Privilege to have Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz as guest speaker. Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz was the Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry from 1987 until 2008 as well as chairman of Matrade. Currently, she is the Senior Independent Non-Executive Chairman of AirAsia X Berhad and is well-known as “The Iron Lady of Asia” for her strong stand on issues affecting the region. It was a personal and interactive session where we were able to ask Tan Sri Rafidah about her thoughts on the current affairs in politics and in general. In addition, Tan Sri Rafidah shared her wisdom that true leadership is not about positions but about having integrity, honesty and to take charge in an inspiring and positive way. It was truly an inspiring and motivational evening. Mr. Bernhard Schutte, Chairman of TAPiO Management Advisory expressed his gratitude by giving a Certificate of Appreciation to Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz for sharing her wisdom and thoughts with our group. He was assisted by Ms. Andrea Amelinckx, Director of the International Programs Office from the University of Lethbridge, Canada.
