On this week's Wednesday Club, we were privileged to have Her Excellency Ambassador Ibete Fernández Hernández, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Malaysia and Non- Resident Ambassador to the Philippines and Brunei as the guest speaker.
Her Excellency shared a brief overview of the history of Cuba, its current challenges and how Cuba sustained its economy along the years. Her Excellency outlined Cuba's outstanding achievements in various aspects - particularly on Cuba's advanced medical industry and distribution of medical services around the world. We were inspired by Cuba's proactive approach in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from that, Her Excellency passionately shared Cuba's vibrant culture and the best spots to visit.
